I just read this article online saying that the oldest living person was actually dead for 30 years now. Thought to be the oldest living person Sogen Kato (111 years old) of Tokyo, Japan was about to be honored by officials turned out to be mummified on his bed. Authorities grew suspicious when they wanted to honour the man but the granddaughter told them “he doesn’t want to see anybody”.
The discovery of the corpse has unveiled a mystery because the family has received $109,000 in widower’s pension payments via Mr., Kato’s bank account since his wife died six years ago and some money has been withdrawn recently. Police are now investigating the family on possible fraud charges.
This is so eerie.
