According to a recent survey, two thirds of people believe that they will be dining in much more often during the coming months compared to last year.

But, it’s not all doom and gloom. Homemade meals are often lower in fat and calories, which spells good news for you waistline! The trick is to use healthy methods, like steaming and grilling, limiting the amount of fat you use, and adding plenty of fruit and veg to your dishes. Look for delicious five-a-day choices at your local grocer or supermarket. Versatile fruits like apples are good value. Try using them in low-fat puddings of muffins or add to savoury soups, stews and salads.
